Treatments & Fees

The practice centres on a modern, well equipped surgery in the centre of Kingsbridge and offers a comprehensive range of treatments ranging from routine footcare (corns, callous, nail care) to biomechanical assessments, provision of orthoses and nail surgery under local analgesia. The aim of the practice is to maintain its position as a primary private practice in the area by continual professional updating of its staff, and audit of its procedures to ensure they are effective.

You are assured of optimum treatment levels and standards of care. All our patients receive a full primary patient assessment and, needless to say, cross infection controls are stringently adhered to.

All Podiatrists at the Kingsbridge Chiropody Practice are HCPC Registered and member of The Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists which means that they have qualified via a 3 year honours degree course at University and are hence eligible to work in the NHS or in Private Practice.

This also means that we are governed by a professional code of practice laid down by the Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists. This practice is pleased to uphold these codes.

We are able to offer chiropody treatment in your own home in cases where you are unable to attend the clinic in Kingsbridge. The service covers the whole of the South Hams. The standard fee for a Home Visit is from £41.00

Assessment Appointment

At your first visit a full medical history will be taken and so it is helpful if you could bring a list of your current medication.

The podiatrist will examine your feet and look at various factors, including how good your circulation and sensation are, any joint problems, and at the type of shoes you wear, and activity you undertake.

You will be able to explain any concerns you have about your feet and the podiatrist will answer any questions and will advise you about how to make the most from your treatment.

After the assessment, a treatment plan will be formulated and discussed with you, and any treatment necessary will be carried out.
